This is one of my favourites pictures with Sally, ok I have many pictures… but this one was quite special as it was one of the early times I went swimming after my accident.

This picture was taken in the Aspire pool at Stanmore, next door to the RNOH (Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital) a new Spinal Unit in London.

The Aspire Centre is run by a Charity, it supports people with spinal injury in many ways, swimming, fitness, equipment and much more. The pool is fantastic and used by everyone, not just disabled people, the slope going into the pool is an easy way to enter, it’s such a pity other pools aren’t built like Aspire.
